    Default Wild dog

Still early in the morning a pack of wild dogs walked towards me on the road. They first encountered another car, went of the road, into the bush, to walk around the car. The car then drove off after a few seconds. Why would a guide leave dogs, with empty bellies, before 7AM in the morning :2
Anyway, they then proceeded towards me, which gave me the opportunity for this shot.

A little crop, played a little with the levels and sharpened after resizing.

Egil, a lovely wild dog portrait. I like the rich red of the road and the eye is nice and rich. So don't keep us in suspense … the wild dog hunt images are still to come??

(no accounting for some safari tourists tastes, perhaps they were after Lilac Breasted Rollers )

why would anyone leave wild dogs ever! hahahhaha!

my favourite animals by far! good light to get the glint in the eye, and like the clean BG and space to the right...i would perhaps crop the top of the legs off to create a more panaramic scene, and also take away the distracting element of only having some of the legs - with the bottom portion of this image cropped off, it feels much better :)

Hi Egil, nice detail and image quality here, and I also like the use of limited dof to blur out the road, which has left nice earthy tones to your background. I like the catchlight in the eye, but would agree with Chad on perhaps a tighter crop if you have the pixels to do it.

Egil, I would agree with some cropping on the bottom as suggested. Good job getting this handsome portrait of the dog with clean OOF background.

Nice portrait. I would also agree with the crop suggestion.

Hi Egil, lovely profile with great BG. Love the detail in the eye and the alert pose. Prefered your OP or maybe a crop between the two.

    super light and details Egil
I prefer the OP to the repost, though I hear what Chad is saying - and maybe Pieter is right in wanting something in between the 2? tough one to crop :)

good to see you posting again!

I prefer the original post to the cropped version. Maybe a slighter crop would work. There is something on the base of the far ear (a tick maybe?) that I find distracting and would probably remove.
