I love the pose, the eye, the color is great, the OOF of the back is fine, the only downside for me is the tip of the beak being soft as well.

Sharp where it needs to be. I would prefer a version with more room on the right or even a vertical crop.

Lovely low angle and you must have gotten wet on this one.

I am still a bit surprised by the colour in the Dunlin. I will look closer when they return next fall to our area.

I like the forward leaning pose and implied or real movement as captured.

I would remove the small catch light and photo seems a bit tight for me.

In Norway we have two different races of Dunlin. "schinzi and alpina. I'm no expert, but I think that this is a "alpina"and it is more powerful color. Regards Geir Jensen

Love the sharpness of the head, but for a shot like this I think the entire bill needs to be in focus. The OOF branch next to the bird's left leg is a distraction that probably could be removed with a bit of work. BG could use some NR.

Colors look fine and natural. August or September? I am OK with the bill but the pose and large size in the frame are not pleasing. Can't you move back and get these birds in profile? :)
