    Another one from last week just after the sun had risen. The males like to gain a little elevation whenever they can, not sure it's just to show off or scout for incoming hens?? No crop

    Beautiful image Robert - as others have mentioned - great light and colour. Having come from a large format background where contact printing is commonplace, I have great respect for your "no crop" postings. Well done.

    I think it comes from so many years of shooting film and having to get it right in camera... It also works for me and my business model. I only crop now if in doing so the image remains viable for my end users. When I was stringing {shooting sports) for Reuters they often chided me for composing to tight and using the portrait fomat, GASP. :eek: Their photographers mostly compose loose and centered. That to was tough for me to do. For the purpose of the internet presentaitons and these wonderful forums I have absolutely no problem with it.... I do occasionally crop a bit for the forum postings mostly cropping to portrait presentation from the landscape format...
