From February...I can't forget the awesome day on the Hooptie Deux with captain Shadle (and Roman, Randy, Robert A, Denise, and Artie - full "BPN" house for the morning session!). This is from the afternoon session with Roman and Randy. I guess James had pity that I only had a "small" lens, so at the end of the day he gave me the OK to approach a small group that was resting on the shore of one of the islands. I suspect the real reason was that he wanted to take images of yours truly in action!!

A careful approach allowed me to get full frame images with my 100-400L lens. You can see me in action here, image courtesy of James:

Canon 30D + 100-400L @380mm, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/320s., f/6.3, ISO 400 (settings histogram checked, and tweaked often with the fast fading light), natural light, handheld, FF. Some distracting elements in the BG removed in post.

Very well seen and created, Daniel. I love the glowing pink water.

Love the color of the water and the concentric circles made by a falling droplet!

Hi Daniel. I love the contemplative kind of mood of this image, and the bird is very much a part of that. Great capture. Also agree on the light and the reflection. Lovely!
