    Wonderful study in textures. Superb details in both the whites and the blacks. Portraits such as this often don't appeal to me much, but I can't take my eyes off this one. Love it.

    Sharp with great detail on the base of the bill. I am surprised that nobody mentioned the super-bright white strip on the front of the neck....

    Artie,

    I had noticed the white strip when processing and left it alone. I am assume that you mean the short piece about half way around the curve in the neck/head area.

    It seemed to be a continuation of the hollow more visible at the bottom of the frame so I left it alone.

    Color Cop gives me a readings of about 231, 228, 228 in the RGB channels so not blown out.

    I assume you consider it to be a highlight "blemish", a negative eye catcher, and better dealt with. It would be an easy fix, and I have no problem with preforming the fix.
