    Default Red-winged Blackbird with Moth

ISO 100, f/6.3, 400mm f/5.6L on a 50D, 1/1250s in Av mode, cropped down to about a third of the original size

I content-aware filled some out of focus reeds in the foreground. Possibly I should have done more. I should probably knock out the white stick on the right hand side and the brown bit in the upper right hand corner too. (Probably I should just crop that out.)

The color of the sky bothers me a bit too (and often). I have trouble reproducing bright to dark blue skies at the same time I get the bird. The exposures don't seem to match. I.e. to get the bird colors/brightness right the sky usually comes out looking way too pale. If the bird itself doesn't have a lot a blue I can oversaturate the blue channel to bring some of it back, but this still doesn't look quite right.
