This was taken in Costa Rica. I removed some branches in the BG in front of the bird. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

An interesting looking bird and composition is very good.

I am not sure of the colours of the bird but to me it looks a bit off as with a colour cast. I could very well be wrong.

    A very nice pose.

Colors look about right for a saltator. There's no color cast if you check the whites

I particularly like the bkgd, pose and interesting perch

With the bird's body facing the viewer almost head on, for me, the HA is a bit too far to the right. I would have preferred it at 45 degrees or closer to directly head on, so as to make stronger eye contact with the viewer. But this may just be personal preference.

    Nicely done, thanks for sharing

PS - Did you get any HB photos

Thanks for the comment Peter. I had little luck with the hummingbirds. My faithful Green-crowned Brilliant female was my only customer at the finca. The others were around but weren't coming to the feeder. I will post the hummingbird soon.

Very nice smooth BG and like the perch a lot...Texture and sharpness on the bird looks good and I cannot comment on the color cast as I have never seen on of these birds before and dont know there colors!

I feel you have a good HA here Jim, and posed against a smooth BG. The lichen on the perch adds interest.
