Dandeli has a paper factory on the River Kali . The waste from this factory into the river is a great food source for fishes and the reason for their abundance there . This bounty is exploited by almost 200-250 crocodiles in the river in a 2 km distance .

Caught this guy sunbathing on a rock in the middle of the river .

Lovely pose with open mouth. I like the dark colour of the water and BKGD. It make the crocodile pop nicely TFS

Nice open mouth pose and POV. This would probably work well as more of a pano crop too.

the darker surroundings make it stand out nicely Rakesh

I would consider a crop from the bottom as it would take the croc off-centre (horizontally) and move towards the pano crop suggested above.

Very cool open mouth pose, Rakesh! Nice sharp detail, and crocodile contrast nicely with BG, as mentioned. Well done!

    Rakesh,
    Strong capture!
Well exposed, sharp and interesting behavior.

The first thing I noticed was the room below the Croc.
I agree with Morkel 100%, less room at the bottom would make this an even stronger image.
A little more room to the left wouldn't hurt either .
