Default Snow Goose and a Splash of Bosque Color

I never got around to posting many Bosque images from this year, so I thought I'd go through my files and pick out an image to share. Mid-November can be a great time to go there because the fall colors are still present and the bird numbers are starting to rise. The BGs can be stunning!

Nice and sharp with lovely light and BG. The shadow on the face and chest weakens this otherwise lovely image IMO.

You are certainly right about lovely bg.

Soft light adds a lot also. Nice landing pose.

I am not so sure about how negative the shadows are. The light angle may also help to add some depth and texture to the nicely outstretched wings.

    Thanks for posting.

Fantastic bg and light. The underwing detail is fabulous. Hope to visit Bosque some day.

Fantastic pose and exp on a killer BG...Nice warm light. I do wish the light was on the left side of the face casting the shadow in the opposite direction. But we cant always have it our own way.

Doug, I assume this is the afternoon shot?
It is tough at that spot. :) Great shot nonetheless.

Thank you all for the feedback. Agree that a slightly different head angle would have helped.

Beautiful shot, exposure, detail. Stunning background. Shadow doesn't bug me in the least.
