    Default spoonbill in canopy

I am going through shots from my trip to Florida last month - wait - time flies - in February. This was taken on James's boat.

    Nikon D3X 600 mm with 1.7 tc - 1/800 at f/9 - iso 320

Allen - I think this image is very interesting what is great is the amount of eye contact that is still happening with the bird.

Allen - What I really like about this image is there is still direct eye contact with the bird. Very nice.

As already said the birds eye contact with the viewer really makes this image for me. Fantastic colours and detail.

lovely IQ and the eye contact is great and the fact that the peek is almost hidden adds. Hope im not wrong but does look like it needs a minor CW rotation to level the water line...Minor nit though, its a lovely image overall

I like the low angle and pink-on-green colour scheme. At first glance I wished for sunlight on the face, but that would negate the "under the canopy" or "seeking shade" effect...so I like it as is . I do agree it looks to need a bit of CW rotation.
