Mara North Conservancy, early morning. A small herd of zebra just interacting on the horizon.

Hi Hilary, the zebras are set off nicely here against the hazy blue BG. Also like the contrast of the warm gold foreground. Interaction between the two on the RHS is nice, and the far off trees on the horizon add depth, as do the layers in this image. Nicely done all around, techs looks good.

Hilary - looks like sweet light and good contrast. The pano crop works really well. I like that zebras seem relaxed and doing their own thing. Well done.

Yep, echo the above observations, the image looks clean & crisp Hillary, think the EIZO is working well. On laptop so can't really comment on the colours, but initial views looks good. Nice interaction and I like the 'strata' layers of the BG. Personally would have dropped the ISO as you had enough SS

Might suggest tweaking the skyline, let me know what you think.

Gorgeous lighting on the Zebras...Get these kind of colors her quite regularly. Usually from the sun behind and dark overcast skies in the BG...I love these, the crop is perfect for my taste and the detail superb...Great stuff Hilary

Love that sweet light, Hilary. Between that and the interaction, this is a memorable image. Thanks for sharing it.

Great look to this image Hilary. The Zebras really pop off the screen due to the dark BG.

I find the upwards slant of the BG horizon and the downwards slope of the grass to be a bit disconcerting. Even if that is actually how it was, I suggest leveling the grass horizon. I tried it and like the results.

Excellent image Hillary, I like the grouping and interaction. Composition works well and the light is spectacular.

the light really makes those zebbies POP Hilary! nice!
I agree with Robert - either the slope in the BG or FG needs to be straight for better balance. I like Steve's repost in this regard but it would be nice to see the flipside of that with the FG grass being leveled rather than the BG.

Thank you everyone for the comments and especially for the thoughts on the slopes. I didn't really notice the grass and could have easily levelled that, but for the distant horizon I wasn't sure whether it detracted from the image or not. Given the feedback I think it would be worth fixing it and Steve's repost certainly does that (thanks). So I'll straighten both out and see how it looks. Funnily enough, this image seemed to take me a long time in pp, trying to get the zebras to stand out without losing all detail, so I'm really glad that it appears to have worked.

Love the lighting, perspective and how this Zebra herd really pop from that grey BG, very nice Hilary.
