    40D. 400f5.6L wide open. iso 400. 1/1600s.

    Most of the wintering ducks have left so this is probably last of this species from my end. All C&C welcome.

    Great detail in the Duck, super low point of view. I do find the bright green a bit distracting though, but thats just a personal thing.

    Nice shot.

    Aha... this is Fabulous no words... great Bokeh... sweet light...

    to my taste i'd have just liked the eye a tad more sharp...

    Nice depth of field and soft background. I really like the low angle, great shot.

    Sweet background and light - IMHO the green frames the top of the image nicely.

    I would probably sharpen the head a bit more if it were mine.

    Thanks. A few duck species stay here in the summer so definitely I will try and photograph them...I dont have a good collection of Wood duck shots. Some egret and heron species come up here for nesting....I will definitely go after them. Lots of song birds nest here in NTexas but they are hard to target with 400mm :-) I love shorebirds so they are always on the list in all seasons.
