Hello everyone. Well I finally was able to capture some decent pics of this duck. The females have been more than willing but the males have been a different story. Well that was until the other day. He drifted towards me as it slept I got as low as I could to be out his sight and the following pic is one of my favorites. Hope you enjoy. C&C welcomed and encouraged.
    Camera - Nikon 300s, Lense - 200-400 w/1.4 tc, Exposure - 1/800, Aperture - F8, ISO 400, Metering - Spot, Aperture Priority.

    Robert:

Nice display of that fancy blue bill. Good shooting angle , a smidge tight on the left for my tastes.

Be sure to post at the max size, 1024 by 800 to give us the best ability to see and critique the image.

    Cheers

Agree with Randy. IQ looks very good. Compositionally, yes, to more space behind. If mine, I'd also put the duck a little lower the frame. Great colors, sharpness, exposure. loved the water droplets.

agree with comments above, and also wish a bigger image, for me 800px or 900px is enough, because bigger in a 17" monitor we canīt see it all in the forum...

Excellent image of one of my favorite birds. You balanced the exposure of the blacks and whites well - detail on the white cheek patch is tough to capture without crushing the black crest.

Minor nits: you might consider running some NR on the BG. Also, there is a pin-sized second catchlight which is a distraction and could be removed easily.

Lovely shot with this low position.
    Sharpness and details are good.
