    Default redhead mallard

    One from the local bird sancuary last week. Nikon D300s nikon 400mmf2.8 AF-I w/ 1.4 ext.
    induro tripod. Post,color curve adjust sharpened and cropped some off the bottom and right side. comments welcome

    Hi Randy, and welcome to BPN. Nice wing flap and good job with the exposure; I would wish for the head to be turned more toward us for a better head angle.

    Randy:

    Nice wing display, showing good detail, well exposed, sharp.
    Katie hit my main concern, that she is turned to far away from us to show here head/face to best advantage.

    I would also prefer a bit more room to the left if you have it.

    I wasn't quite sure about the title. It looks like a pure red headed hen to me, versus a mallard/redhead hybrid.

    Keep them coming, and thanks for the membership support. Please feel free to comment on other folks images too.

    Why do they turn away from you when they flap? I experience that frequently. Hope to see more from you.
