    The bird was attracted by placing peanuts in the cracks in the bark of the tree in a local park.

    What a nice little bird.

    The more I think about it the more I think many of the little birds here in Australian would be better photographed in an Alan Murphy type way - set up using food or playback.

    There are a couple of little spots I would clone out - one near the breast on the background, and on the tree trunk to the left of the spot near the breast. I may try to blacken the tip of the bill as well.

    Not sure if my eyes are deceiving me or is the bottom foot on the tree more in focus than the eye? The eye seems a bit soft. Do these guys move around quickly on the tree or is there time to focus on the eye and then recompose?

    Thanks for the feedback everyone, I appreciate your comments.
    Tom these birds are like lightning! Always on the move so I try to position the sensor in the region of the eye - i.e. I sometimes anticipate where it's head might be then I shoot in bursts of two to three frames hoping that one might be good.
