    Hey Alan
    love that look you got, the side-angle on the wing and the sweet light
    I am assuming the golden light basked the whole scene, hence the yellow "cast" (which does not bother me as much because of the time of day I'm assuming this was taken)?

    Beautiful bird and beautiful pose. Nice sharp image.

    Everyone,
    For more on my teaching phase angle on BPN, this image is an example of a very low phase angle, less than about 10 degrees. The low phase angle reduces shadows and as this examples shows, feather detail. For comparison see Alan's Northern Mockingbird image posted a couple of days ago:

    There the phase angle was about 20 degrees and the image shows wonderful feather detail.
