I have been trying out shots from the new tiered seating at HCT and as I have mentioned before it is a vast improvement for BIF shots than the previous seating used for the 2.00pm Valley of the Eagles Display. The weather this weekend wasn't very co-operative being extremely windy and showery but nonetheless I have managed to get some shots I was pleased with especially of "Lark" the Peregrine Falcon.
My main interest for BIF shots is of the smaller faster Falcons, rather than the larger birds, mainly because I find it such a challenge to get the bird in the viewfinder... much less in focus with the 500mm lens.... and I handicap myself even further by using a 1DMKIII :p.
(However I must be lucky enough to have one of the good ones as I find it better than my MKIIN....but thats another story!)

I'd say you've got the hang of those little flying demons down pretty good. Another fine flight image.....great banking and detail. This is no easy feat. I spent one morning trying to track a friend's gyroXperegrine hybrid. I pretty much deleted all that I had. Well done.
