Most of my images at this nest were landing shots. Finally I got a take off shot that I am pleased with. I only wish it happened earlier when the sun was lower to get more details under the dark areas.
    Hope you like it!

Well timed Troy. Take off's takes patience, as we never know when the blighters are going to leave. I like the wing position, together with the detail on the upper wing.

Love the downstroke on the wings and it shows the intensity of it taking off. Great patience waiting this one out because I spend hours watching Eagles wating for them to do the same thing.

Hmmm...I wish that branch were not "touching" the eagle like that Other than that, congrats on finally getting a take-off shot !!

Good job waiting him out, Troy. Your patience paid off. You're right about some parts of the underside of the eagle; the details are lacking.

I really like the capture with the wings in the forward and down position in the takeoff pose. If the image were mine I would be tempted to try a version where either the eagle is placed higher up and over in to the upper right hand corner of the frame, or possibly to add more room in the lower left corner to give the eagle just a small added amunt of space to fly into the picture....
