From the recent trip to Homer Alaska with Artie and Robert O'toole. Their demos convinced me to upgrade to CS5 and also start processing in RAW. Good bye JPG. Anyway, an amazing trip. One sunny day, two afternoons fighting a bad cold (losing wonderful photo time), but I had amazing opportunities to get some outstanding images. Thanks Artie and Robert for the trip, the education and inspiration.

This is a working bird, dirty tail, talons and ruffled feathers!
    Good exposure,sharp,near wing is great,wish I
Could see bit more of the back wing.
I might try a version with a modest crop up from the bottom.
    Smart move going to raw!

    Cheers

Great timing. Like how the eagle is just above the water.

    Steve,

Great capture - one of the few sunny days up there :)

Wish the head was turned a bit more toward us, but it's OK as is.

IMHO there is something not quite right with the processing. It looks very grainy to me. Maybe a little bit oversharpened. Can you please describe how you processed it?

    thanks
    Charles
