    Hi Folks;

    After wintering in Mexico the White-winged Dove returned last week and was captured in our garden along with a few other strangers. Early morning light with sun not over the eastern peaks yet.

    CC's always welcome & appreciated

    PP included very minor crop, backgound change from grungy browns, blues & greens along with minimal LAB sharpening.

    Gus - the bird looks nice and sharp and well exposed, with a good HA. I would prefer to not have the tree trunk. I can see quite a few artifacts of your BG manipulation - especially in front of the bird and to the left of the tree trunk.

    Nice perch and pose on the bird. Background change a little sloppy as you can still see the brown BG through the hole in the perch.

    Hi Folks;

    Agree that photo looks better without the trunk on right side of Dove, also, agree that I need some more practise & skill on changing background.

    Thanks for your comments.

    I like the head angle and catchlight. It looks a bit oversharpened to me.
