Pankaj, I would be less worried about the BG and more concerned about how blocked your dark tones are on the bird. If you open the image and check your histogram you'll see a significant pile up of data on the far left side - a sure sign that part of your dark tones are very much blocked. You can fix it with a shadow/highlight adjustment to some degree but you'll introduce noise as a result but I gave it a try here just to show you. Even with the adjustment made, there are still parts of the bird that are very dark and show almost no detail and that's mostly due to the position and harshness of the light when the image was created. There also seems to be an overage of yellow in the soil so I backed down the saturation of the yellows a bit to bring that more in line.
As for the background, the white in the front lower corner is probably the most troublesome - but a minor point to how dark the bird is. I don't have a problem with the rocks in the BG if that's what you're concerned about - they are diffused enough for me - but the white in the LLC keeps pulling my eye away from the bird and right out of the frame.
Agree with Jules completely. The BG is not really the concern but seeing the detail in the bird was. I like her repost because the details have been brought out nicely.
