    A handsome California winter shorebird.
    Taken this weekend near Santa Barbara.

    very nice, I might put it a bit off center and crop from the top. The real life plumage should look a bit warmer/saturated, maybe a slight WB adjustment.

    detail is fantastic, especially for 2X TC on a zoom.

    Nicely sharp and agree on a bit warmer (and darker on the middle-tones). A crop from the top is not quite enough :)

    For the original, the bird should have been farther back in the frame.

    For the repost: 1 degree CCW rotation and cropped all around. Still wish for a bit more room in front of the bird.

    I like the pose and bubbly setting. Artie's crop also addresses the dark line at bottom of the frame on OP. If you do have more room in front on your original it would be worth adding back.
