Looks like a painting, Kerry. Great light, color, detail, and love the drips from the bill.

    Sweet timing!

A Beauty, Kerry! The light is amazing! I only wish that the green on the head showed more! The drips are so nice!

The first thing I said when the photo rolled down was Holy Cr*p! Man, that is some sweet light and the position of the bird with the head tilt and the water dribbling down...flawless!!!

My only very minor suggestion would be to take a look at the catchlight/eye in the reflection - it shows up as four or five very small white dots - might be worth a clone or heal to get them out.

    Beautiful work...really exquisite!

That light is 'to die for'. I can see this framed elegantly and very large over someones fireplace.

    Great work.
    Love it.

Absolutely gorgeous. I don't know if it would work, but I'm wondering what would happen if you upped the saturation a little, maybe even just locally. The undertail on a Green-winged Teal is a nice, creamy yellow and maybe that could be pulled out a little more.

This image has a really warm, cozy feeling Kerry. I love it. There's an aspect of paint to it which I like very much. I think Jules' suggestion about the eye is a good one. The large phase angle of the light is really bringing out small detail in the head feathers, which gives the head a bit of a "scratchy" look- I know it's not a very scientific word! I played around a bit in Photoshop and actually softened the head feathers a bit while bringing up the sharpness of the eye and I think it worked quite well.
