Happy Easter to all. I took this hovering ospray at the Viera Wetlands last week on a very bright high overcast day. I was quite pleased with the result. I was wondering how others might feel about it. Nikon D3, 200-400mm w/1.7 extender. 1/1600 @ f/10, ISO-1250. Thanks ahead of time for any opinions expressed.

    Hi,

Strong highlights on this one. The whites in the tail are very HOT. You did well with the sharpness of the face.

Nicely done. Lightening the face mask and the iris would make it even better.

Nice pose and details. The lightened face looks made this lovely high key image even better.

The eye looks great but the face now looks a bit washed out (but better than in the ORIG). Try adding two points to the blacks in Selective Color to the whole image and see how that looks.

Thanks again Artie. I added two points of black to the image as you suggested, but to be very frank with you I couldn't tell any diference. I then selected only the bill and changed tyhe blending mode to multiply at 30 %. I thought this gave the bill a darker and better look. Anyway this is the result. Thanks for all your help and opinions.
