    I think the lower bird is a bit soft, but I liked the parallel comp. Other comments for improvement? Late afternoon shot. 1/800, F7.1, 400 iso, 300mm. cropped and slight selective sharpening and color adjust.

    Looks like they have a comfy place in those mangroves, and with the parents away they look like they are up to no good!! I like the idea you were going for, but this was a tough one because of the harsh light and light angle. I'm not fond of the perfect alignment of the bills with the one on top going through the lower one's head. Ideally, physically moving left to get better juxtaposition (with the top one's bill all clear) would be great - but here is where light angle was tricky to do that. As is a better HA on the lower would also have been good. You exposed as best you could with the strong light...perhaps a reverse "S Curve" would tame the contrast.
