Nice head angle. Feet seem on softer side, but thats a trade off with the aperture you used. Perch is nice. I would have tried to stamp out the OOF perch as its taking a bit of attention. Just my two cents.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Ram:

Like this crop compared with original, less crowded. Nice colors in bird, catchlight.
In a perfect world, wish the lower back branch wasn't there so I could see a bit more of the tail, but it might be blocked even without that lower branch.
Agree with Munish about the DOF, but looking at your settings, I think you did well with the available light.

    Cheers

    RAM very beautifully taken.
Agreed with Munish on OOF perch, but over all i love the composition, color and sharpness.

Beautiful subject and very nice detail on the bird agree with the others on the OOF bottom perch.

Really like the upturned head and the colors in the breast and head.

Love the head angle, beautiful bird and background (except the branch that's been mentioned) Very sharp at 1/50 !!

Better comp. Nice textures to the feathers and lovely BG...I would love to have seen f7.1-8 to maybe get the feet sharper but that would have compromised SS and also not sure of the ISO capabilities of the 1D MKII N to know if pushing ISO may have helped...Nice one Ram
