    Default Pony From the Past

I recently started working as a farmhand on a nearby farm, which is why I haven't had the time to post many pictures lately. On the plus side though, it gives me a whole new place to photograph! This is one of three ponies on the farm.

I used three textures from Shadowhouse and one of my own textures. I also blurred the pony's nose a tiny bit because it looked too sharp for an old photo.

WEll done, Christopher! looks genuinely ancient. I especially like the added touch of creases.

Very well aged, Christopher! Cool border and textures. Looking forward to more from your expanded range.

Wonderful! This looks like a sweet pony. I love the covered eye and one eye showing. Perfect application of textures to get that old look.

Wonderful that you are working as a farm hand! I live in small farm country and greatly admire the farmers and the work they do. Farmers can fix anything!

Very interesting image. Love the applications and creativity. Many people are trying to do photo restoration , and here you are doing just the opposite. OUTSTANDING!!!

Christopher, I love your pony! Reminds me of a time many years ago when I worked at a horse ranch near Saratoga NY. Of course I wasn't doing any photography, just cleaning what they left behind :)

The textures you chose work really well here,

Christopher, This has a softness to it that I am quite fond of. Love the slight turned head and you know I'm a fan of your aging technique!

That is a sweet pony image, Christopher. The aged texture processing looks great, as always. Great as is, and I like the edges too, but, and this is minor, wanting there to be more of the same contrast from light to dark in the LLC as in the other corners, to balance it out a bit. Nice work!

Christopher, this is a beautiful "aged" portrait of this horse. I too live in farm country and take every opportunity to shoot farm related images when ever I can. The only thing I would change is to clone the small bright line under the horse's right eye. very nice work!

Really nice Christopher, you are the king of aging. And you're so young too!

Here comes my farmhand story - I used to be one! Growing up in Indiana and living in a rural area during high school, I had a couple of jobs on a farm and tending a stable of 17 horses. I have shoveled and spread a lot of you-know-what, which has helped me in later years working in corporate America.

That's neat, Kerry. Being a farmhand is a lot of hard work, but I love it. Thanks for commenting!
