    *i think it was F8

    cropped size 2653 x 1762

    Some sharpening in LR3. Raised black point a bit.

    Would love to hear some of your thoughts.

    This shows the habitat nicely Doug. Looks a lot like down east right now although our ice has not come out yet. I like the eye contact you have managed in both birds. A little more of a head turn towards you on the right bird would have been optimal. I see significant chromatic aberration around the cattail upper right and a little around the head of the righthand bird. This can be corrected in Photoshop (Lens correction filter).

    Doug, another thing to think about is getting a little bit of space between the two birds - it's always nice to see both without an overlap. If you had waited just a second more the one on the left would have been separated nicely from the one on the right and yet their angles to each other would have still been very complimentary.

    If this were my image I'd probably take some off the right side as the front vegetation is really dragging my eye out of the frame.
