Two bald eagles on the Susquehanna River. The eagle on the right just caught the shad, the one on the left nearly stole it. Alas, the right baldy managed to keep his fish and quickly exited the area. 1D mark IV, 800 f5.6, iso 1600, f6.3, 1/800, manual on a tripod/wimberley, almost full frame.

    Herb,

This is just awesome. I know how difficult it is to get a shot like this with both birds facing the right way, etc. You even got a decent head angle on the fish. Well done!

Sweet!! Amazing poses and interaction - what a great scene you've captured here. Well done.

On my monitor the white's have a pretty strong yellow cast to them. Any chance you have some other shots you could harvest a smidgeon more canvas from to add at the top?

Great interaction captured, I really love the expression on both bird and how both of them still clinging on to same fish which show the struggling for the fish. The sharpness on both birds look good too which is something not easy to do. The top of the frame is too close to the wing tip for me and might run a tiny bit of NR on just the under wing area.

At first I was going to say this was one of the most amazing bird images I've ever seen.

But I decided to change my mind...

This is one of the most amazing images I've ever seen.

What great action. I don't think I've ever seen such great HA and expressions in a shot for so much going on. Normally one subject has a back turned.

I see a bit of a yellow cast as well.

    Congratulations.

The interaction is outstanding...You have captured the moment well...IQ is a bit lacking though and the noise needs attending to...Also see the yellow cast in the white feathers....TFS
