Hi Pierre, Welcome to the forum! The light is lovely along with a crisp silhouette.IMO in this case the centered tree is not an issue. I also feel you have just enough silhouetted base and the giraffe is a nice addition. I might be nitpicking but wish the lower left hand branch wasn't there since it seems to slightly emulate the giraffe....

Welcome Pierre, I agree with Dave's comments on your image.

I noticed the shooting data says -2 compensation. Like slide film, under-exposing can be used to create your silhouette and intensify the sky color. However, this reduces the digital data recorded. In RAW, it is better to post-process for the desired effect IMO as follows,

Initial capture, exposed highlights (sky) to th right but without clipping.
In Photoshop, use levels to set a black point on the silhouette - this will cause it to go black. Then using curves, saturation or other color manipulative controls, restore the color to the sky. Also, a background copy with the blending mode set to Multiply can intensify colors.

    nice mood here Pierre

besides the good points made above, I also wish it was a "wider" scene, ie more "panorama" and that the giraffe stood a bit higher thus making the silhouette more distinct

    I like it!

However, I would remove the stick that Dave refers to and I would consider running NR on the background.
    Cheers, Jay
