Another from the last few days on the Hooptie Deaux with James. News flash.....I like them tight so we should add a new term "Romanesque Crop" (RC) to the abbreviations. Shot off the deck of the boat.
ISO 800 at f7.1 and 1/3200 sec with the Sigma 300-800 @ 406 mm with the Canon1D Mark lll all tripod mounted w/ wimberly head on boat deck. Very slight crop off bottom and left.

Beautiful whites, sharp eye, slightly apart legs and feet, great wings spread and a very nice background.
    Gorgeous shot Roman!

    Roman:

Excellent pose, elegant, soft light, I like the framing.
Perhaps a sliver more sharpening on head/bill

I missed pinkie when in Florida, hope to have another go here in a couple of weeks.

    Cheers

Awesome pose and exposure. I'm OK with the "RC" here Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to detect some sort of masking/selection artefacts around the egret? Most prominent around the lower wingtip and feet...

The RC works for me too. Killer pose and BG. Topped with the breeding plumage, you have a winner here, Roman.

    Roman,

To add to what others have said, nice image. Nice detail in the feathers. Great phase angle! Love the crop

"RC crop" That's a Roger Clark crop (RCC) . I think you meant R crop (RC).
