    This falcon slowed down slightly, giving me a chance to capture him in flight. I was really happy getting this shot as it was a first for me and they are so fast.
    Nikon D3 ..500VR ..1.4 converter. 1/4000 at f6.3 ISO 800.

    Awesome shot. loved the pose, angle and the DOF. will a slightly cooler WB make it better?

    Thanks Kaustubh. I tried various WB setting and found that if I went cooler the wings got a funny colour so I am not sure.

    Here's a repost with slightly cooler colours, have to agree prefer it.

    Not my favorite pose Vivaldo.....but works very well here. I like the cooler version and overall.....I feel you did an excellent job!

    I like the downward swooping pose...I can almost feel the wind from the wings! I too prefer the "cooler" version. I'd also prefer more room below (bird higher in the frame), and wish there was a catchlight or reflection in the eyes to give them life.. Well done on tracking it though...very sharp as posted.
