This one was taken at Fort Desoto East Beach during the first evening when the sky was cloudy. Full frame, no canvas added. The bird actually has a black dot on her eye so I decided to leave it there.

Good exposure (overcast is great for these contrasty birds), and lots of nice details. It is normal fort the American Oystercatchers to have this weird pupil, so it is wise to leave it as is. Perhaps a bit tight in the frame, but being full-frame there is not much to do now, except add some canvas. In the field I rarely like to go so tight for full body images as you have no good alternative option to crop for prints and pretty much need to leave it as is.
Still a very pretty image, good job in getting low. Always fun to get a very cooperative subject
I agree with you guys. I added little canvas on top of the original. Now the bird should have little more room to breathe and the eye is also close to one of the "thirds"...
