    Not sure how I got this image since I really am not good at flight shots but hey even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.

    40D, 500 f/4, 1/2500 at f/6.3, Manual Mode, ISO 400, Raw, Tripod, added some canvas to the left and cleaned up the water under the bird.

    I'm still struggling with BIF shots as well, but you did a nice job with this one. Excellent exposure, the details in the whites look real good. Like the feet hanging down pose & underwing detail. Well done, Don.

    Whatever you did you did well, especially considering the egret is flying towards you. Exposure spot-on, nice clean BG, and I like the pano crop. I do wish the golden slippers were better lit, but I'd take this in a nutshell
