    Hi Arsdel, this is a great looking bird. It seems the focus point was on the chest, and not on the head. The image would have benefitted from a greater depth of field, as the feet are only marginally sharp.

    The head angle is not ideal, and beware of the lack of detail in the whites (recovered overexposure?). I might have placed the bird higher in the frame, and given it more space, especially on the left side of the picture.

    Xavier has all the points covered, the most important being the dof and focus on the head.

    Critical focus is indeed on the back - perhaps the bird turned its previously in-focus head at the last moment giving it both some softness due to motion and having gone out of DOF range. Neat colours to the BG.
