Just back from my eagle tour in Alaska. I think I had a record day on Thursday taking nearly 5500 images. Here while it was snowing I concentrated on eagles banking against a forested mountainside. while handholding my 500mm. The longer focal length helped me seperate the birds from the BG.. My MK4 worked superbly in tough conditions. Image shown full frame..

Great shot Robert. The banking bird really shows off the detail in the feathers and the head angle is engaging. Nice exposure to keep detail across the spectrum. The snow falling adds a lot of mood to the scene. The only thing I might suggest is that the crop seems a bit static for me and cutting a bit off the right side and adding a bit below the bird might give it a bit more appeal.
I like the detail showing off on the plumage. The exposure is spot on. Excellent DoF and snow are huge pluses. If anything, I would have liked the eagle somewhat higher in the frame. Congratulations for this excellent capture!
