Inever thought I would have enjoyed such a HA!! But I do! I never realized how much white there is back there. I do think the image IQ seems to be suffering from a large crop and is perhaps a bit strong on the magenta side, but I like the general idea.

Always nice to see a fresh perspective on a bird! I like the hint of eye, which BTW is very sharp. Did you use manual focus? Not much detail in the whites, and I agree with Daniel about the color cast.

I do agree with Daniel and Doug. There is also a slight halo around the bird which is quite distracting. But it's nice to see how you've been playing with the colors. Well composed image, too.

    Thanks for the comments.
The crop was not that much, just vertical and I cropped out a very OOF back.
The duck just got too close!
It kept coming toward me until I ran out of focus (4 feet or so), he spun, I saw the pretty cool looking
back of the head and fired.
I hesitated posting because of the focus, but just thought it looked unique.
The color caste came from selecting the "calculated" WB instead of using the default which I usually do.
It gave it the magenta caste, which I sort of liked.
The "halo" came, not from over sharpening, but from my poor PP skills, I feathered in the BG blur, but not really successful, although I don't see it on the original.
    Thanks again.
