Canon 7D, 70-200f2.8IS, handheld. S/speed 1/800s at f4.5, iso 400. Cropped from 18 to 15mp. Processed in ACR6, CS5. Location Duba Plains, Okavango Delta. Taken at 06h56 in Feb 2010, in good, early light. Seeing as Marc Molloy has continued the trend, I thought to post this one. This is the male known as the Skimmer pride male, with one of the Duba lionesses. Both cats are still around.
    All C and C welcome

No too sure on what to comment here Grant, a bit of 'Jiggy Jiggy' hey, I think we can forget any eye contact on this one. The image certainly conveys 'passion', LOL? As you say, nice light.

    Perhaps it's best to say...

A fine mating pose here Grant in glorious light, just wishing for a touch more of the females eyes.
Duba Plains for the Lion/Buffalo interaction is on my to see list in the next few years.

A nice way to start the day for both you and the lion! I like the head turn and upward angle of the lioness. Light is nice and the detail in the FG grass is just right.

Hi Marc and Steve, thanks for the comments. Marc, Duba is one of my favourite places in the Okavango for photography, it has great open spaces and lots of wildlife, plus the aforementioned interaction...

Grant, good 'action' captured in nice light. I like the comp - just enough space all round.
