    Hi Bill. I like this one! I don't think the DOF hurts at all, as the leading edge of the bird looks great, IMO. The bright pink on the muted green BG makes a great contrast.

    They are amazing birds. It's easy to get used to them here at BPN, but if you really look at them .....

    I like the layout of this image and the colours but I think it would have more impact if there was a boost in overall sharpness, particularly the head. I think it would stand up to another round of sharpening.

    Yes, Bill, it's a little soft at the wing's edges - but a very nice spoonbill overall. Love that green BG against the pink of the bird. Bird's position is wonderful as well - nice to see him high in the corner - you really get a feeling of descent with the way you framed him.
