    50D, f/8, iso 400, 1/2000, 100-400mm at 275mm.

    The ice on our lakes is melting fast here. Thought that the background pattern made a typical Trumpeter Swan fly by and little more interesting.

    Outstanding shot Gary. I love the lines in the snow - it makes the background look like that of a panning blur shot.

    Absolutely spot on! The focus is terrific and so is the exposure, I also like the shadow on the ice - superb shot well done!

    The lines in the bg definately show motion and I also like the exposure and shadow...excellent in-flight.

    Love the sense of speed here generated by the horizontal lines as mentioned, line of shadow echoes them, well exposed sharp. Nice framing.

    Love the pan-blurred look, the near wing position, the way the bird is angled slightly at you, the SH, and the perfect EXP. The position of the far wing is not my favorite. Had both wings been in the full down position a very good image might very well have been a contest winner (at least if I had been judging....)
