the yellow and pink colouration is off the hook Matthew! lovely shot

how about a slight crop from RHS to lose the OOF flowes in top right corner and also place the bird more off-centre?

Beautiful light and colours Matthew! It's pretty hard to beat blossoming redbud as a perch when it is in season.

    Matthew:

    Excellent techs, sharp, well exposed.

    The BG is very flattering.

I like the redbud as an element, in a perfect world, would prefer the tail be more against the bg than the red bud, would be much more distinct.

    Good looking image!

    Cheers

A beautiful capture, Matt! All is great but I am thinking that the yellows of the bird are on the harsh side. I see detail, so I'm not saying the yellow is "blown", just harsh? I am used to seeing this species in muted light and yours here is obviously in full sun, so that is probably the reason. Great work none the less!

Love it as is. The redbud is a great perch for the yellows.
