    Default Mourning Dove

I often overlook doves when out shooting as they are pretty commonplace, but there is no denying they have a beauty of thier own. This Mourning Dove hopped up on a seeded rock I had set-up to photograph quail right at the end of the day.

I liked the pose, IQ and the DOF. BG is terrific as well. I'd have prefered a horizontal comp without the OOF rock at the bottom.

Great pose and sweet light. Agree with Kaustubh's excellent points regarding crop and the OOF rock.

This definitely looks like Arizona - I love the analogous color palette of browns and reds.

An often overlooked subject as you stated but I like the pose and complimentary bg in this image. I also agree about the crop...the Dove seems a bit cramped on the left side of the frame.

    A very nice pose.

I am on the crop side as well.

If mine I might also increase the contrast a bit in the bird to get a bit more separation from the bg.

Very complimentary colours and good for you to see the opportunity.

Great looking dove. I am fond of these beautiful delicate looking birds. You have captured this dove wonderfully. Nice light, great eye contact, and lovely background. Well done.

Mostly the crop as mentioned, but maybe the two dark corners could be toned down and upon closer examination of the bg, my monitor shows some strange wavy lines in different areas (not sure what you call that effect)?
