    Default Cedar Waxwing + Berry!



    Taken in poor light in San Jose, CA. Canon 7D + 500mm f/4

    * Exposure Time = 1/640 second
    * Lens F-Stop= ƒ/4
    * Exposure Program = shutter priority
    * ISO Speed Ratings = 800
    * Shutter Speed = 1/640 second
    * Aperture = ƒ/4
    * Exposure Bias (EV) = 0
    * Metering Mode = pattern / multi-segment
    * Flash = Flash did not fire
    * Focal Length = 500 mm

    That's a cracker Conrad! I like everything about this shot - great pose, sharpness, perch and the beautiful "spotlight" effect of the background. Well done.

    Thank you Jeff! I was able to pick out the BG as there were so many feeding at this location this day.

    Very nice image Conrad!! Sweet BG and lovely colours. Looks like this waxwing plucked the last remain berry off that branch. If anything I'd be tempted to lighten the iris just a bit. Very well done!!

    Conrad, great photo. Love the timing of the last berry, the colours, the BG and the detail.

    Nicely done Conrad. I also like the spotlight effect of the rich BG colors. The reflection of the sky visible in the eye is nice too.

    Hey Conrad, that is an excellent one. Looks like the low light worked to your advantage Beautiful bg and colors. Love the pose. Where in San Jose did you get that.
