    I suppose you could say this is relatively unusual behaviour but many animals chew bones for the mineral contents.

    Taken in Somalisa concession, Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe, 6th May 2007.

    Very nice sighting this...I have only seen Giraffe doing this, never Kudu its known as Osteophagia...Nice IQ Ken

    Now that is an interesting word just looked it up, phosphorus who would have thought it, certainly not I.

    I will confess that the only other animals I have seen doing this are Giraffe.

    something I have seen on photos of giraffes - never in real life and also never by kudu...

    nice behaviour captured Ken - the soft light and pano presentation both add to the appeal here

    small nit would be a slight blue cast on the animals - slight desaturation of the blue and cyan channels by about 5-10 points should do the trick
