Lovely background, attractive bird, sharp. The lighting is coming from behind and to the right of the bird, which has cast the birds face into shadow. You needed a little bit more + EV to compensate.
Another option would have been some fill flash.
The perch is a bit overwhelming for this little guy, and generally a more natural looking perch helps too.
How did you meter this one?
You are gaining on it! Keep working it. One tip that would have helped you with a small in frame subject like this, was to have the overexposure blinkies enabled on your camera, and watch for blinkies on the white of the bird. Keep pushing the exposure to the right until you see a few blinkies, and back off just a hair.
I did not see your last post. There are many positives to this one. The bird is nice and sharp with nice color and smooth background. You might try upping your ISO to 400 which would have given you more shutter speed. You did fine with 1/160, but that is on the slow side for birds. I look forward to more images from you. Look for nicer perches and a better light angle and you'll be happy.
