This is another image from the recent Avalon Airshow near Melbourne. These are the RAAF Roulettes, skilled airforce flight instructors who fly Pilatus PC-9 aircraft.

Nice formation with a nice blue sky to compliment the red and white of the planes...excellent prop blur while keeping the planes sharp also. I know for birds you want space to fly into, but IMO I think this comp is a little unbalanced with too much empty space in the URC. I would crop some off the top and right. Let's see some more from the show!
Dean, another good one from the show! I think I agree with Jim about the composition. I think, in this case, the empty space in the upper RHC is a bit distracting. Asking myself why, I think it is because the idea behind this formation was the symmetry and that empty spot breaks the symmetric appearance of the flight group.
