The Cape Mountain Zebra. Captured in the Mountain Zebra National Park, Eastern Cape, South Africa.

I wanted to capture the mountain zebra against the backdrop of, well, a mountain.

Like this Morkel, really showing the difference between this and the plains species, a much stockier build with shorter/stouter legs. Nice lighting and well framed in it's surrounding environment.

    Morkel,

A beauty and it looks like another beauty on the way, well done SANPARKS

This is a marvelously scenic park with some amazing wildlife, including Mountain Reedbuck.

Thank goodness that at least here they are not succumbing to TOURIST PRESSURE and introducing Lions, and luxurious accomodation.

Ken - I love returning to this park...lovely scenery and solitude. Going back in April to look for those pesky cheetahs! :)

    Morkel,

Good luck, it should a little easier now as the youngsters will be a lot bigger and mum should not be keeping them out of harms way so much. Yet another amazing sucess story from SAN Parks.
