    Roger:

Interesting. I wonder what is driving that one?

I wish they had done it before I bought CS5''

    Cheers

It doesn't look like the upgrade is discounted. Perhaps the economy has reduced sales and many are staying with CS4?

I'm confused because when I go to the link Adobe says the full version is "from" US $699.

Works for me and when I click on it, it shows up in the cart for $299... This is good. I am glad I waited. Thanks for the heads up Roger...

John, from what I can see we live in the wrong country. Is anyone in the States willing to buy and ship to my US post office box?

I was about to buy the upgrade. The upgrade is available for $189 from amazon (perhaps other places too). But at $299 I just bought a full version. I'll keep CS4 on a laptop. I have 3 laptops, and which one I take depends on how much weight I need to save. I went to Tanzania last month with no photoshop because my licenses were for other machines. So now I can have it on all my laptops. Though this 2 machine limit is a real pain. I use photoshop on 4 machines, but only one at a time.

So I bought the $299 version and will put it on the new 64-bit machine I am building.

John, we need to find someone in Oregon (no sales tax) that is willing to buy for us and ship. I have a US P.O. Box.

Is it CS5 that has content-aware? What other meaningful improvements from earlier versions?

Interesting! Having ordered a copy in March from this $299.00 deal -- I just received an email from Adobe stating I am eligible for a free upgrade to Creative Suite 5.5, as soon as it ships.

We'll see if this is just Photoshop 5.5 or one of the even the more useful versions of Creative Suite 5.5 (which is useful for publications, even ebook creation). Notably, the "whats in Creative Suite" just shows Photoshop 5, so maybe this isn't being upgraded. Most of the her components are shown at 5.5 level.

In any event, the deal for PS 5 at $299 isn't available on the website any longer....
