Out the archives. This was taken in Sabi Sabi a few years ago. We were on a morning drive when we came across a pack of wild dogs and pups in a river bed. They had clearly killed something the previous night, and everyone was having their share of the spoils.

Nice alert looking pup here Stuart, especially with the pricked up ears. Having the remnants of the carcass adds to the image nicely. You can see the catchlight in the eye and I would have hopped the flash might have brought out some of the more darker detail in the face & ears. Might suggest revisiting the file to try and get some more detail out of those areas, as it certainly adds to the image when done.

    Hi Stuart,
I like the overall line of the dog's tail, body, and the rack of ribs he sure seems to be enjoying. The food provides a nice subtle bit of color. I like how he seems to be aware of your presence and checking on you just a bit, but not distracted.

Nice clean image, detail in the carcass add nicely to the image. Would agree that opening up shadows would be nice if achievable.

    Stuart,

    A Beauty

Only you know how dark this dog was, and they can range immensly some are very mottled and have lots of white and brown and some have predominant black, each one is supposedly unique.
I once saw an almost totally white female in Mana Pools (unfortunately no worthwhile images). She was known as "Snow White".
