    Default A Close Encounter

Enjoyed the company of this majestic Bengal Tiger for some time at Kanha Tiger Reserve.
Full frame - wish I could get a bit more space at the bottom.
    Comments and suggestions most welcome!

lovely head-on pose in exquisite light here Santanu! how I wish you had used less "dead space" on top and got all of the feet in was pointing the lens slightly downward not an option? what were you resting it on?

Wonderful head-on view. I know when I am concentrating on the face I don't always remember to check all the edges of the image in the view finder . Since I wear glasses I actually had a special pair made so I could more easily see camera info and the image in the view finder. Still a wonderful tiger image and fantastic that he/she is out in the open.

Thanks to Morkel, Harshad bhai and Nancy for your feedback.

@ Morkel: The lens was resting on the back seat of our safari vehicle. Yes pointing downwards was definitely an option.

@ Harshad bhai: I tried to minimise the casting now - does it look okay?

    Santanu,

Very nice indeed, it's a pity about the missing paws but it is not the end of the world.

I might try cropping closer to say the bottom of the chest, and perhaps a slight boost in contrast.

@ Harshad bhai: I meant the original pic is now referring to the updated one.

@ Ken: Thanks for your suggestions. I boosted the contrast slightly (in the original pic).
